Ali MacGraw
Elizabeth Alice MacGraw better known as Ali MacGraw is an award-winning American model, author, designer and animal rights activist. Ali MacGraw is well-known for her roles in films like Love Story, Goodbye Columbus and The Getaway. The desire to become an artist was in part influenced from her childhood within an New York family of artists. Her first position was an assistant to photographers. Then she moved on to acting and modeling. She was noticed in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising Newcomer. MacGraw was a worldwide superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. After only three movies she was deemed the most successful female film in the history of box offices. The Grauman's Chinese Theater recorded her signature with handprints, foot prints and handprints in the year 1972. The other films she has appeared on include The Getaway Convoy Players, television miniseries The Winds of War and others. In 1991, her autobiography Moving Pictures came out. MacGraw is married three times.
